Kids Christmas Crafts

If you have read any of the other articles on this site, you probably have noticed that most of the crafts are child-friendly. Kids Christmas crafts are a fun way to get your children in the spirit of the season and to pass away some of that vacation time away from school.

There are several kids Christmas crafts that you find that revolve creating just about any type of Christmas figure. However, there is one thing that hasn’t been mentioned in any article yet — snow globes. Yes, there is a way you can help your child make their own snow globe!

There are just a few things that you need, and like the other projects on this site, the materials can be items that you already have around your home. But there is definitely one item that you will need: a small baby food jar with the lid.

Other items you will need include: baby oil or corn syrup, water, glitter, waterproof glue, plastic Christmas figurine

1. First, make sure the baby food jar is completely clean of food and glue residue.

2. Fill the baby jar with corn syrup or baby oil. The thicker substance will keep the glitter from falling too rapidly. Add just a little water to the mixture.

3. Put some glitter into the jar. A couple of shakes will do. Too much will give off the wrong effect.

4. Next, glue the Christmas toy onto the baby food jar lid. Make sure a parent helps with the waterproof glue. Once the figurine is secure, glue the lid onto the jar.

5. Make sure the glue is dry before turning the jar upside down.

6. If you would like a different colored base instead of the lid color, you can paint the lid a color of your choice.

7. Give the jar a shake and you will see how fun these kids Christmas crafts are!
